Dr. Fesaha Gebrehiwot
Born in a village in Eritrea. Engineer, dentist, husband, father, healer, and now, author.

He came with little more than ambition and a belief in education.
Dr. Fesaha Gebrehiwot grew up in a small village in Eritrea, in a stone house with no electricity or plumbing. He and his eight siblings walked six miles a day to school, and water for cooking and cleaning came from a well two miles away.
In 1997 he was selected in the U.S. Diversity Visa Lottery. He came to America, learned English, and earned an electrical engineering degree from Arizona State University. He went on to work as a product engineer at Motorola.
Then he made the rare and difficult decision to start over. He enrolled at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012, and practiced in Arizona before choosing North Texas. In October 2018 he opened Trusted Dental Care in Wylie.
"Once I moved to Wylie, I fell in love with this place," he told The Wylie News.
